Captain Nemo
20.000 miles under sea, western hemisphere
In 1886, the world was shocked by the thrilling rumours that a very scary monster was roaming the oceans. This ‘sea monster’ allegedly sunk many ships and an expedition was sent out which was to hunt down this ‘monster’. By coincidence, three members of the expedition crew found out that the monster was in fact a ‘fantastic’ submarine, the ‘Nautilus’, built by a mysterious man calling himself Captain Nemo.
The three crew members were held on board of this submarine and had many adventures, such as walks on the bottom of the ocean and fights with sea creatures.
Jules Verne’s stories, 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, were the inspiration for this suite in which you can imagine yourself in Captain Nemo’s private room and feel his presence. This is enhanced by a replica of his diving helmet in the room and some of Jules Verne’s books are displayed in the suite so you can be carried away by his thrilling stories. You will feel the stresses and strains float away in this warm and attractive suite on the bottom of the sea.
